On Wednesday the 23rd May 2012, residents from Mill Lane Manor Private Nursing Home, Naas, Co Kildare visited the Butterfly Park in Straffan. It proved to be a great day out for all. The sun shone and it was a beautiful day which made it all the better for the picnic. We got to set up our basket beside the tables and under the umbrella that were provided in the garden next to the park.
The residents enjoyed the guided tour and loved learning about the different types of butterflies and moths. It was really interesting. Everyone enjoyed their time there including the picnic with a sing a long in the gardens. Later in the day we were able to stroll around the gardens admiring the wonderful shrubs and flowers. On the way home, we were able to stop off for an ice-cream which was the perfect ending for all to a great day.
