The Dining Experience

Our catering team at Brindley Healthcare are committed to ensure that the meals and snacks offered to you are to your satisfaction and meet your required nutritional needs.

Meal times are:

  • Breakfast commences at 8am (if you require cooked breakfast please note that this is available upon request). All breakfasts are served on trays to individual rooms.
  • Lunch is from 12.00pm to 1.30pm – Lunch is served in our dining room or room service is available.
  • Evening tea is from 4.00pm to 5.30pm – Evening tea is served in our dining room or room service is available.
  • Supper is served from 7.30pm or room service is available.


We would ask that visitors arriving at meal times do not enter the dining room in consideration of other residents. We are happy to offer room service if a resident has visitors at these times.

A full range of beverages, snacks and fresh fruit is available throughout the day and if you have any additional requests, please do not hesitate to ask any staff member.

Purchasing & Catering Manager

 P Desmet

As Catering Manager for the Brindley Healthcare Group, I’m responsible for managing, organising and supervising the Catering Team in all of our homes. I work closely with all catering chefs to insure high quality, nutritional & well balanced meals, taking into consideration our residents tastes and dietary requirements.

Our menus are designed ‘Traditional Cooked Style’, changing seasonal by using the finest ingredients. We only use Irish sourced ‘Bord Bia’ quality products and all our catering facilities are fully HACCP compliant.

The experience & knowledge which I gained over 27 years training and working in Belgium, Germany and Holland and as Executive chef with the Radisson Group in the UK has helped me learn not only how to manage people or to work within a well balanced team, but has taught me a lot about customer-guest satisfaction.

Working with the team at Brindley Healthcare for the past 4 Years, was not that different, the only change is that our guests are our residents. The challenges stay the same, as I always look to improve and re-invent.

Team work, respect for each other and dedication is what I believe in strongly.
