Facilities and Gardens

Mill Lane Manor Private Nursing Home is a 70 bedded, purpose built Nursing Home, opened in June 2005 and is set in beautifully landscaped gardens wthin walking distance of Naas town centre, Co Kildare.

We have 52 single and 9 double bedrooms and all have adjoining ensuite toilet and shower facilities. All rooms are comfortably furnished and each is equipped with a television, personal telephone and a nurse call system. Our corridors are almost 2 metres wide and are all equipped on both sides with a wooden handrail to assist mobility. Corridors, like all romos are carpeted for comfort and safety.

There are spacious lounges for residents to relax and enjoy the many in house social acitivities and an Oratory for the spiritual needs of residents. We have a large bright dining room, where meals are served. Wireless Broadband is available throughout the home. The Director of Nursing and the administrator can be accessed in their own offices and nurses are available at the nurses' stations or by call bell.

Outdoors we have large grounds, two internal furnished courtyards, one at the centre of the building and the other extending from the main sitting rooms. There is a path circling the building which allows access to all areas of the garden and grounds.

Local Amenities

The area offers a number of amenities including scenic and historic walks where you can learn about the mythology of Fionn Mac Cumhaill and St Brigid with visits to St Brigid’s Cathedral, a Norman tower house, and the twelfth century Franciscan Abbey.

The area is also famed for its world class race courses - Punchestown, The Curragh and Naas. The famous K-Club golf resort is in nearby Straffan. 

Naas town, founded in 134 AD, has a long and colourful history. There are a number of historical attractions including Naas Town Hall, the Courthouse and King John’s Castle, as well as beautiful local walks in the area. Naas town is also a lovely shopping area with numerous boutiques and shops that are definitely worth a visit.
